Lucas shared his learning accomplishments so far in second grade with us at his student-led conference Thursday. It is always so interesting to hear them speak for themselves about what they have done, what it means, and what they need to improve on. It allows us to see a little more clearly exactly what they do all day. I really LOVE it!
Here Lucas is showing me his cursive handwriting. Notice the way he holds his pencil? Bizarre isn't it? We (and his former teachers) have tried and tried to correct it. Nothing doing. He is stubborn if nothing else. Amazingly his handwriting is pretty good. I think he was supposed to be a lefty and his hand is just uncomfortable. I don't know.
