Christmas Band Concert

Mac's first band concert for St. Brigid was better than expected! ;<) The concert was long because it was the Watterson Area Band Concert. So it comprised 10 feeder schools all playing together as one beginner band, 1 intermediate band, 1 Honors band, 1 Advanced band. AND then we were treated to an AMAZINGLY awesome Concert Band from Bishop Watterson High School! But it sure was hot and a looooong concert! However, it was treat to see Mac and all his friends incredible progress on their instruments in a very short amount of time.

As you can see here, Mac plays the flute. This was his choice. He has been saying for a few years now, that he wanted to play the drums. But then, on the day they showed the students all the different instruments they could choose, he came home determined to play the flute. He has picked it up rather well. Now he tells us he is definitely playing the drums next year, ... or maybe the sax! hmmmm This in addition to the piano and the guitar. but who am I to talk... I played the piano, the guitar, the viola, the drums, the marimba, and the tympani!! Like Mother, like son, I guess.
