Mac's 12 Birthday

Every year, I make a scavenger hunt for Mac to locate his birthday presents. This year it started as soon as he woke up (in my bed!)

He finds the first gift in the toybox!!

Daddy tries to help Mac decipher the next clue.

We say Goodbye... for now...

June 27, 2010
We will miss Father Jeff! First an associate pastor at St, Brigid and then a resident priest. He served us very well and will be sorely missed but we wish him all the best in his new parish as pastor in New Philadelphia, Ohio. But I wish for him to come back very soon! Selfish, I know. Why can't we have more priests and many many more like Fr. Jeff?

Neighbors Euchre Night

June 19, 2010
We have euchre night with our neighbors every other month or so. We used to have the rule that whomever wins has to host the next euchre night. We hosted once in 2 years. Now the new rule is whomever loses has to host, and what do you know- we hosted again! hmmmm (That was Greg's doing- not mine.)

We have a loner winner
And ANOTHER!!!! Too bad Loucenda!

Meeting Chris Quinn

June 16, 2010
Both boys went to Coffman HS's basketball camp this week. Today they got to meet Chris Quinn in person! In case you don't know, Chris went to Dublin Coffman where he played 4 years of varsity basketball. When he graduated he went on to Notre Dame University where he also played 4 years of b-ball. When he graduated from ND he was drafted by the Miami Heat. He played for the Heat and the NJ Nets and is now a free agent. He came to camp to talk to the kids and answer questions. He also runs his own camp here at Coffman. But the best part is that Greg coached Chris when he was a freshman on the varsity team! As soon as Chris saw Greg he came right over and gave him a big hug and called him "sir"!! :<) He was so nice to the boys and he showed great respect for Greg. Very impressive guy!

Columbus Clippers Game
June 14, 2010
One of Lucas's best friends, Owen, invited Lucas to go with him to a Clippers game. But this was no ordinary baseball game. Owen's parents had won a package at our parish auction fundraiser. The package was part of a" teacher time" group of packages where the teachers and staff donate time and do something fun with the kids. This package was for a trip to a Clippers game, for their kids and a friend each and included food and fun! Owen chose Lucas to go with him and Owen's brother Nic chose his friend Eddie. No one expected the fan fare they received when they were picked up though! Two vans with Mrs Iannarino - the awesome school nurse, her husband Deacon Don, one of their daughters, and Mrs. Crawford - the school secretary, and her hsuband! There were balloons hanging out the windows, the boys names painted on the windows, and "Take Me Out To The Ballgame blaring!!! It was so cute!! They really made the boys feel special!!! Take a look at some photos and a video I shot when they first arrived!
