The Seventh Wonder of the World

7.4.09
It really is an awe inspiring experience to stand at Niagra Falls and just gaze, but to do it on July
4th just made it even more amazing!!! We arrived on a BEAUTIFUL picture perfect day- sunshining and about 74 degrees!

This is my most favorite picture I took of the entire vacation...

This is a photo of the American Falls.

Thi sis the boys in front of the American and Bridal Falls. Nikolas Tesla designed the first Hydroelectric power plant at Niagra Falls.Greg and I standing with our backs to the Great Horshoe Falls.
Daddy and boys.Mommy and boys.
The Maid of the Mist- down below us. The boat is VERY aptly named- lots and lots of mist today. I just love the power of the water!! It is so incredible and so beautiful!

The mist from the Horseshoe Falls. My climbers.
The boys checking out the water up close and personal...
The picture looks like it was staged at the movie studios with a green screen. The very best part of the Niagra trip had tobe the Cave of the Winds Tour on Goat Island...
This tour takes you 175 ft.down an elevator down into the gorge. This is the building with the elevator. The orginal tour took you behind Bridal Veil Falls into an actual cave. The cave no longer exists, but not the tour takes you out onto a catwalk in FRONT of the falls where it feels like you are in the middle of a hurricane. It is an amazing feeling of the power of nature!

Here we are before we hit the hurricane deck.Do you see the rainbow??? We are standing at the top of the first landing. After the Hurricane deck...
